Over winter break, our aluminum propellant tanks were completed, which is a huge step for constructing the vertical assembly! After one of our Propulsions leads, Owen Trimble, worked as an engineer for Pythom Space over the previous summer, the company generously offered to help us weld our tanks. Using a specially modified laser welder made for aluminum, Pythom was able to complete the tanks in just two short welding sessions. As we get closer to going back into the lab and continuing progress on the rocket, the completed tanks can soon be integrated into our vertical assembly. We want to express a huge thank you to Pythom Space for helping us with our tanks!
